HCAT Catering Team – Catering Assistant (based at HCAT Collingwood Primary School)

The HCAT Catering Team are currently looking for a Catering Assistant to be based at HCAT Collingwood Primary School working 10 hours per week.

The successful applicant should have previous experience within a similar environment, be able to work effectively as part of a team and ideally have food handling experience.

You will be required to assist with food preparation, counter service, general cleaning duties and any other requirements requested by the Cook and Catering Supervisor.

The Marvell College – Specialist Learning Support Assistant (Physical Disability Specialist)

The Marvell College requires a specialist learning support assistant with responsibility for Physical Needs (Physical Disability specialist) to work under the direct instruction of senior pastoral leaders to support children to ensure they learn and achieve well. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of supporting learners with SEND, which has led to a significant improvement in the quality of provision and outcomes for pupils. Successful applicants must be willing to complete a specified qualification in the area of need – this will be directed by the Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher (SENCO).

Applicants must be able to:

  • Articulate a compelling vision for their lead practitioner role within the college
  • Communicate a clear understanding of the personal values and characteristics in which their understanding of SEND is rooted
  • Describe a detailed analysis of the barriers to learning students with SEND face, with particular reference to the area of need they would specialise in
  • Demonstrate an awareness of research/evidence-based approaches to supporting learners with SEND.

The Marvell College – Casual Exam Invigilator

The Marvell College requires casual examination invigilators to join our existing team.

Successful candidates will be reliable, punctual and highly organised.

In addition, they will demonstrate an ability to remain calm, show clear understanding of examination guidelines following induction training, and be empathetic to the needs of candidates in a high pressure exam environment.
