Champions in the making at Thoresby Primary School

We are incredibly proud to share the sporting success of more of our children.  

Pupils at Thoresby Primary School were recognised at the School Sports Partnership Awards, held at Longcroft School on Tuesday 7th July.

🏆 Advancing Team of the Year – Thoresby Swimming Team

The swimming team received this award in recognition of their outstanding performances this year, with more Thoresby children finishing in the top 10 across the Hull swimming gala competitions than any other school!

🏆 School Games Value Award – Shahzad (Year 5)

Shahzad's story is inspiring. Since joining Thoresby this year, arriving with limited English, he quickly demonstrated an exceptional talent for cricket and began bringing children together to play at breaktimes. His enthusiasm and skill were recognised by staff, which led to him joining a local cricket club. Since then, Shahzad has gone on to be selected to represent Yorkshire, regularly competing against children much older than himself.
