Withernsea Primary School Girls Crowned Humberside Schools' FA Cup Champions!

Congratulations to Withernsea's incredible Under 11 girls' football team, who were crowned Humberside Schools' FA Schools' Cup Champions following a fantastic 2-1 victory over Messingham Primary School in the final on Monday 22nd June.

The final, held at Baysgarth School, was a brilliant showcase of girls' football, with both teams demonstrating outstanding skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout. In a closely contested match, our girls showed tremendous resilience and teamwork to secure a well-deserved 2-1 win.

The road to the final was far from easy. The team progressed through multiple rounds of the competition, overcoming strong opposition along the way. Their commitment, hard work and determination throughout the tournament have been exceptional.

Following the match, the referee praised both teams and commented on what an impressive game it had been, highlighting the excellent standard of football on display.

Everyone at Withernsea Primary School is immensely proud of the girls and the way they represented the school throughout the competition. Their success is a testament to their dedication, teamwork and positive attitude both on and off the pitch.
