HCAT Central Team – Lead Practitioner in Writing
We are seeking expressions of interest from highly effective classroom teachers who are passionate about pupils’ learning and who have the skills and enthusiasm to help us to develop teachers across our family of schools. From Easter 2024, we are seeking a “Writing Expert” to work with teachers and leaders across our schools. This person will work under the direction of the school improvement team and be expected to work across schools within the academy trust.
- Be the trust “expert” in writing.
- Secure an understanding of where best practice exists across the trust schools.
- Support assessment analysis and identify any areas of concerns quickly in your subject area across the trust.
- Deliver CPD as and when appropriate to staff of all levels including SCITT trainees.
- Research national and local initiatives linked to your subject area and disseminate as appropriate.
- Support schools in developing teaching and assessment within writing.
- Support teachers to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
- Work with the Trust Reading lead to align curriculum approaches when appropriate.
- Regularly lead working groups to review trust KPIs.
- Work with schools and trust moderators to support schools in assessing writing.
- Conduct writing specific audits across trust schools.
The Marvell College – Teacher of Mathematics
|The Marvell College are looking to appoint a well qualified and passionate teacher of Mathematics who can deliver high quality learning across all areas of the Mathematics curriculum.

The Marvell College – Casual Exam Invigilator
|The Marvell College requires casual examination invigilators to join our existing team.
Successful candidates will be reliable, punctual and highly organised.
In addition, they will demonstrate an ability to remain calm, show clear understanding of examination guidelines following induction training, and be empathetic to the needs of candidates in a high pressure exam environment.
